Working Knowledge is a comprehensive, blended-learning package that truly supports learners who need to develop
their employability skills. It also offers materials to support units from NCFE’s Level 1 employment skills course and the draft ASDAN employability qualification at Entry 3 and Level 1.

The package helps learners to: recognise their own value as potential employees; look at personal qualities, skills, aptitudes and abilities; research the job market; and apply for jobs and attend interviews.

The package is divided into three modules:

• About you,
• Looking for a job
• Getting the job.

Working Knowledge is ideal for FE colleges as well as offender settings, and provides an indispensable set of tools for any teacher delivering employment skills courses, including those based in schools, Jobcentre Plus and E2E programmes. Support for relevant LLN skills is embedded in the course, and the package includes multimedia and paper-based materials.
