Windows XP Service Pack 2: Security notice

Description:
After upgrading to the Windows XP Service Pack 2, I now get a security warning when I use CTAD learning materials.

Solution:
Open the browser window. Go to Tools/Internet Options. Select the Advanced tab and tick the following two boxes under the Security settings.

  • Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer
  • Allow active content to run in files on My Computer

Please note one of the main reasons for the Service Pack 2 upgrade was to deal with heightened security threats on the Internet. Before you make any changes to your browser configuration settings, we would advise that you contact your IT support team first.
