Director – Offender Learning and Skills Services (Posted on 9 April 2008)
You’ll be the centre of our Universe.
It’s no exaggeration to say that everything here will revolve around you. It’s our aim to provide individuals currently in prisons in the south west and east of England with the advice, guidance and support that encourages engagement with the learning and skills offer whilst in custody and facilitates access to sustainable employment opportunities on their release. And, as our Director, it will be your responsibility to oversee and plan every aspect of this work from budget development and control to account management with key project funders.

Salary: Up to £60,000 p.a. (depending on skills and experience)

We are passionate about technology, and using it to enhance learning. We are proud to be involved in the open source community that supports this, and are always on the look-out for experts to join our team (either permanently, or as occasional help). If you have solid skills or experience in several of the following areas and are interested in working with us,

Moodle, Mambo, PHP, Flash coding (AS2), JavaScript, SCORM, CSS, XHTML, Accessibility, Instructional design, Usability

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to clean, cross-browser, access-aware coding, as well as a willingness to work in a team.
